According to research by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, (ASPS) https://journals.lww.com/plasreconsurg/Abstract/2004/06000/Breast_Reduction_Surgery_and_Breast_Cancer_Risk_.34.aspx , women who underwent breast reductions had significantly fewer chances of getting breast cancer than those with larger breasts.

“We removed about 70% of her breast tissue and reducing her breast tissue reduces her risk of breast cancer, proportionally.  So she not only looks more proportionate following breast reduction but her cancer risk is likewise reduced by about 70% at the same time.” Said Dr. Rose.
